Study Aids: Online Resources

Online Resources

Some study aids, like the Aspen Learning Library, provide ebook versions of print books that have been used by law students for decades. Others, like CALI, are online learning tools that provide interactive tutorials that cover a variety of topics in law.

Aspen Learning Library

Aspen covers the fundamentals of some legal topics in a video and audio. The In Other Words Video and Audio Series cover fundamental topics in law written and presented by a law professor or legal practitioner. Aspen also provides resources on Bar Preparation.

Contact

Please contact barcoref@pitt.edu if you experience any login issues with an online study aid collection. Be sure to include which resource you are unable to access, along with screenshots of any error messages you encounter.

You will receive a response from a librarian, who may ask for additional information regarding your issue.

Please note that if you report an issue outside of the department's regular hours, you will not receive a response until the library reopens the following day/week.

Tips

There are also a few steps you can take to see if the issue will resolve itself:

  • Be sure your Pitt password has not recently expired.
  • Clear your browser’s cookies/cache and attempt to login again.
  • Try a different web browser (e.g. if you typically use Safari, try Chrome).
  • If you are remote, login to Pitt Passport before accessing the library's website.
